TARGET COMMUNITY: “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”Nelson Mandela. Busokwa Community Busokwa Community is a remote village in Karambi Subcounty, Kabarole district, Western Uganda, East Africa. The majority of the population work only to provide food on subsistence level for their families by growing and harvesting maize, beans, sweet potatoes and matooke. The community has small land holdings as such many families hire pieces of land from rich land lords per season. The land lords are paid cash before planting and in kind at harvesting. As such, many families are literary servants of the landlords. Very few people are involved in trade. There are many child headed families, high school dropout especially the girl child due to early pregnancies and HIV/AIDS Scourge. Most homes have temporary structures, buildings are affected by termites, water is scarce and of poor quality and there is limited road infrastructure, no electricity supply which makes it difficult to deliver quality basic services in Education, Agriculture and Healthcare. This is our current target area! This remote area has now been annex to FortPortal Tourism City so as to fast track its growth and development.
